I KNOW, right? Even better - there were TWO copies of this legendary folk/blues/outsider LP at an estate sale in a mansion in Portland, and NEITHER of them had a cover. Every other record was classical, so no idea how this all happened. I searched that house from top to bottom, garage too; no covers. And yes; I'm keeping one copy. The good news is that I am selling the nicer one to you! Now, many sellers I've bought from (and I buy a LOT of lps, and worked at record stores for decades) would mark this VG+. Hell, I got one the other day that said VG and it skipped like crazy. Not me - I'd rather you be pleasantly surprised the lp is better than described. As you can see, Side 2 has some ugly marks - I made sure the lighting really made them visible, but you can't even feel them. They do NOT skip, but yes, you hear them. So I am calling it VG.
Aside from that, it's a pleasant listen to an individualist's take on a classic form. There's even a little 13th Floor Elevators influence. I don't think you'd have any regrets about purchase. Other than wishing it had a cover, of course.
