PETER STAMPFEL, ROB HYKYS, AL ZANZLER, ROBERT NICKSON, etc.

Esoteric folk revivalist and cohort of the Holy Modal Rounders, 

Hurley maintained the classic itinerant folk lifestyle throughout his career.

A singer/songwriter in the subversive Greenwich Village folk scene 

of the late '60s and '70s, with several songs lent to the Holy Modal Rounders, 

Michael Hurley maintained an infrequent solo career into the '90s 

but was more famed for his writing credits

delivering warm and heartfelt original songs with an earthy twang. 

This disc is one of his finest. 

This is music will delight folk lovers, but more surprisingly
