Description

MICHAEL RABIN GLAZOUNOV / PAGANINI Violin Concerto
Issue : RARE UK 1st PRESS       Label : COLUMBIA         Catalogue No : 33CX 1281

This UK rare 1st press is on the earliest blue and gold Columbia label. It is complete with the original plastic inner sleeve and laminated flipback Mardons sleeve. The LP features Glazounov's Concerto in A minor and Paganini Concerto No 1 in D minor, performed by the Philharmonia Orchestra and conducted by Lovro Von Matacic.

The vinyl is in Very Good+ condition. There is a sensational jet black gloss and no sign of heavy play at all. There are just a couple of light marks and a few wispy hairlines on both sides. The labels are extremely clean with vivid blue and bright text, there are slight sticker marks on one side. There is the slightest spindle wear.

The laminated sleeve is in Excellent condition. This sleeve is delicate and shows wear very easily but we are pleased to say it is very solid and extremely clean. The image is unworn, the colours are bright and the text is sharp. There is just the slightest wear to the opening edge. The back is also superb, the flipbacks are complete and sealed, there is just the slightest ring wear. The spine is firm with sharp text.
