This is a Wonderful LP. When I bought my CD burner, planning to burn all my 3,000+ LPs to CD (Yeah, Right) this is the first LP I burned, so I could listen to both sides uninterrupted and over and over again. If I say, it put me to sleep, that would be doing it an injustice. It was equally good for Meditation, Dining, and very nice background music when conversation is most important. Many would ask..."Who are we Listening to? This is very pretty, soothing in fact."

This is on the CONTINUUM MONTAGE Label (if they are still around) and was released in 1981, but it has that early Vangelis, Rick Wakeman feel about it. The main difference is there are no songs. There may be named tracks but as the name implies, it actually 'unfolds' aurally.

Grading = Sleeve/Vinyl  VG++/VG++

I've burned this to my computer or else I would not be selling it. Kinda hard to use a computer with no electricity! Hehehe.

There are 2 other copies for sale here at the BAY: One for $59.99 (that includes S&H) and it does have an insert where as mine has a static-free acetate sleeve, and a Second one $68.95 that lists nothing unique about their copy at all and infact, do not even list the Sleeve/Vinyl grading.

In describing this album, Michael Stearns says it best.

"I had a dream about the earth. In my dream the earth wasn't a solid mass, but a mass of sounds held together through resonance. Everything: atoms, cells, the Earth's core, oceans, plants, animals and humans created a complex orchestration that kept unfolding on itself. The Earth was a being of sound. The Sounds were of all times; its past life was mixed with sounds yet to be heard. I heard billions of voices and all the music ever created at once."

Below is a copy of the Standard for Rating Records that is pretty much the Industry standard. 

MINT (M) - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condiition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT (EX) - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG)- The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable.

GOOD (G)- The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

There are 3 Grades below GOOD, but I would never attempt to sell one unless someone just HAD TO HAVE IT!!! The majority of the records I sell are from my own collection and are usually in the VG to EX Range.

Yes, I realize that when you add the beginning list price to the shipping amount it equals the BUY-IT-NOW Price. What you may forget is that the beginning list price is just that, a beginning price. There is no way to tell exactly where that price will wind up once bidding is over. When you use BUY-IT-NOW, you don't have to worry about being overbid, nor having to pay extra for the item. Once someone bids on the item, BUY-IT-NOW is no longer an option as a commitment has been made to pay a certain price for the item. This is not my rule, this is eBay's rule.
