If you are a BIG fan of classic American Psych-Pop, This is a HISTORICAL must have for your LP collection. This is by far, among the hardest to find LP sets ever produced in the world!  The Record Label "Belvedere" is a name of a very famous construction company in Detroit, the upper right hand back-cover photo is of Mr. Belvedere, whose tag line for every ad was "We Do Good Work!"  A local Icon whose commercials were among the worst produced and written of all time, and he himself was always the star of his commercials.  They were hilarious!!  There is not a soul from Detroit from 1950 to 1985 who did not know that Tyler 8-7100 was his phone number...and for the purposes of historical genius, he allowed it to be the LP Number of this 2 LP set, along with this being the only record ever released on the Belvedere Label.

It is also the only 2 LP set where many of these early Michigan garage bands can be found...some of these were never even released, but they are all great.  Terry Knight & The Pack went on to become Grand Funk, Bob Segar went ultra-commercial, but is still a king in Detroit; as is Ted Nugent of the Amboy Dukes. Question Mark & The Mysterions "96 Tears" is another extremely sought after, high price LP.  And let's forget what the MC5 accomplished.  These are all very early recordings of these bands, some who made it, many more who evaporated into rock history.

It took me 20 years to find this record after my 1st copy #003 was stolen from me at my "Moving to San Francisco" party with Mike Davis and Ron Ashton (of MC% and Stooges fame, respectively) in Ann Arbor in 1982. THIS IS A VERY LOW NUMBERED, MINT PRESSING...#077 OF 1000!!  This LP has never, and will never be re-pressed.  It is an iconic collection of many of the greatest talents to come from the early Rock N' Roll daze of Detroit....I was there, and you can be too!  This LP Set is very nearly irreplacable...you will never find another this LOW a Number or in this condition.  I RECENTLY SAW #476 AT A RECORD CONVENTION IN CHICAGO FOR $275.00!!  So this is a great oppourtunity for those collector's in the know to get a perfect set for a great price and investment.

VINYL: M-/M- NO background noise - plays perfectly (I don't list them MINT because they have been played).  And keep in mind, that there are a few tracks on this set that were painstakingly remixed from less than perfect tapes.
