Description
Up for auction is a very nice copy of the Miles Davis album "Miles Davis And The Modern Jazz Giants" originally released in the U.S. on Prestige Records (PRLP 7150) in 1959.
-Guaranteed original First Pressing -Deep Groove labels -Mono Pressing -Yellow & Black "fireworks" Prestige labels -Correct Bergenfield, NJ labels -RVG stamped in run-out matrix -Laminated paste-down cover
Condition: The cover is in beautiful condition with only a hint of age and wear. Front lamination still retains its original high gloss shine with only a hint of rub, no ring wear. Back is clean, bone white, no ring wear, no writing, no age discoloration. Seams are strong, intact, no splits, no cracking. Corners are sharp, not bumped with only one tiny chip that's hardly worth mentioning. Grade the cover Near Mint (NM).
The vinyl is also in beautiful condition, still retains its original high gloss shine and luster. No apparent scratches or scuffs, just some light signs of having been taken out of the inner sleeve a few times. Labels are clean, no marks around spindle holes. Very clean copy. Grade the vinyl visually Near Mint (NM).
Play-Tested: I have play tested this record, and the sound quality in recommended Mono Mode, is excellent, generally clear and clean. It does have a hint of low-grade background pressing noise, typical of these Prestige pressings. I don't believe this record has groove damage from previous play, as it looks as if it's been played maybe once or twice previously. Very nice full-bodied fidelity. Hard to find a better copy.
