With the critical reviews for Bitches Brew popping up in everything from local and national newspapers to jazz magazines, and Steve Grossman firmly established in the saxophone chair recently vacated by Wayne Shorter, Miles threw his band a curve ball.
He added Keith Jarrett on organ to a group that already included bassist Dave Holland, electric pianist Chick Corea, percussionist Airto Moreira, and drummer Jack DeJohnette for a four-night stand at the Fillmore East.
The resulting 2LP set received mixed reviews mainly for Teo Macero and Davis’ “severe” mixing/cutting/editing (which is why the track titles reflect the night recorded and not the composition mixed within) but Teo Macero used these cut and paste techniques on all of Davis' studio albums and the results here merely reflect this experimentation pushed just that little bit further giving the record a feel akin to free-jazz

Clean, bright, fresh and unmarked labels - light spindle traces

All four vinyl surfaces shine like new - a couple of light marks are visible but these are small and inconsequential
VINYL Audio: NEAR MINT
A sensational set and my play-check at volume found little to fault - just an occasional one-off tiny tick - nothing really - plays beautifully throughout and very highly recommended indeed
SLEEVE: VERY GOOD+
Apart from some rubbing to the edges, corners and surfaces the sleeve is good, clean and solid
