Description
Here's a 1970 FIRST US PRESSING of MILES DAVIS' LP - BITCHES BREW on the COLUMBIA 2 EYE LABEL CAT#PC8983. Miles was constantly reimagining his music, pushing boundaries of what he could do, and what jazz was. Bitches brew along with In a Silent Way were the first LPs that brought electric instrumentation to Jazz along with heavy improvisation. The LP basically was the beginning of a new genre- Jazz Fusion. The band are all superstars like Chick Corea, Wayne Shorter, and John McGlaughlin. It's a cornerstone LP in Jazz, and a cornerstone LP in any Jazz library.
First pressings can be differentiated from subsequent pressings by the two-eye "360 Sound" labels (later pressings, beginning in 1970, have the red label ringed with orange text), and by the GP series
The cover has ring wear and rubbing, and the LP has a couple small marks on one side, but overall plays VG+ with a small touch of background. Label credit for Shorter & Davis on Sanctuary. OG INNERS VG+
