Description
Very nice copy of the deep groove Bergenfield pressing of Miles' Blue Haze LP on Prestige PRLP-7054. Rudy Van Gelder's initials in the runoffs. Features Charlie Mingus, Percy Heath, Max Roach, John Lewis, Horace Silver, and Kenny Clarke. The disc has some light marks and scuffs but mostly it plays just beautifully, with only light crackle between tracks. There is a bit of louder crackling in the middle of the first track, and some crackle during the bass solo that opens the first track on side two, but otherwise it is surprisingly clear sound. There is a very visible mark on side two but it doesn't make the slightest tick. Most of the way through this copy plays beautifully. The cover is nearly flawless, except for some light staining on the back. Otherwise almost pristine, with no seam splits, and no ringwear or cornerwear. A very nice early copy
