On offer is an original Brazilian monaural pressing of Miles Davis' 1957 LP Miles Ahead, Columbia LPCB 42018.
The pressing is so rare that it does not figure in the Discogs listing for this LP. So I can't say if it's from 1957, but it would appear so.
The vinyl looks great with most of its original shine and hardly a mark. It plays with no skips or catches but the record does play with surface noise -- crackle that is noticeable practically throughout and some pops (a tiny bump is between track 2 and 3 on side 2). While noticeable, the surface noise never overpowers the music.
You don't get a clean playback. But I would think to may people, it still can be an enjoyable listening experience. Except for the surface noise, the music sounds good -- no distortion that I can hear. I grade it between good and very good.
The cover is in Excellent or Excellent Minus condition. It has no splits, creasing or writing. There is a small amount of wear and a few nicks to edges and corners. See photos.
