COLUMBIA RECORDS CS 8163 (1959) [12”/33 RPM]
Deep-groove "6-eye Label" FIRST PRESSING in STEREO of the jazz masterpiece!
This auction is for a stereo first pressing (CS 8163) of Miles Davis's landmark collaborative jazz masterpiece Kind of Blue (laid down w/ unmatched chemistry by a legendary cast including John Coltrane). This is a true original "Columbia 6-eye" deep-groove pressing in stereo (far more rare and sought after than its mono counterpart) in NEAR MINT condition. It is difficult enough to find an original pressing of this LP, but to acquire a stereo original that is Near Mint is truly a rare occasion. Here is a real opportunity to acquire just such a treasure. Don't let it pass you by!
condition:
VINYL is NEAR MINT. - Vinyl sounds rich and plays beautifully! Grooves are clean and glossy. There is no visible surface scratching or scuffing on either side. Labels are clean & like new. (See pics).
JACKET is EXCELLENT.– Cover looks great, retaining its original finish, color and detail. The cover is fully intact with no seam splits, tears, or writing - it has obviously been very well taken care of (See pics). The jacket would be Near Mint if not for a little visible light surface wear (still less wear than one might expect of a jacket of its age) (See pics).
