ORIGINAL 1959 COLUMBIA RECORDS MONO “SIX EYES” LP CL-1355
U.S. FIRST PRESSING!
SINGLE LETTER MARTIX ENDING IN “A” AND “B”! EXTREMELY RARE!
DESCRIPTION OF RECORD
Record is a VG +. Both sides have a few light sleeve marking and light superficial scratches that have no real impact on the sound. There is some crackling and occasional light tics. The record has been play-tested and the sound is rich and warm. The surface looks great, rare to find first issues in this condition.
Labels: The labels are in EX condition. NO makings or serious spindle wear.
Cover: VG +. Amazing condition. Front cover is in great condition, some superficial markings only. The spine is in EX condition, all letters and symbols are perfectly legible. Back cover has some discoloration but nice and clean. Seems are nice and intact.
Inner Sleeve: Original publicity sleeve is included and in EX condition.
SPECIAL CHARACTERISTICS:
1) B-Side Label Showing Wrong Track Sequence (Flamenco Sketches First, All Blues Second).
2) Deep Groove Pressing
3) Original Cover with Cannonball Adderley’s name misspelled
4) Uncorrected Speed Pitch
5) Matrix Number (XLP47324/47325) in Trail-Off Dead Wax Ends with “1”
6) Very First pressings have single letter lacquer cuttings. This issue has lacquer cuttings that end with “A” and “B” – THIS IS RARE!!!7) The number, which appears on the bottom right hand corner of the back cover is # 2.
