Description
MILES DAVIS – MILES DAVIS QUINTET – PRESTIGE 185 – 10” – 1ST PRESSING – MONO - EAR – EX/EX
This original 10 inch LP recording was on April 3, 1954 in Hackensack, NJ and it features Miles Davis with Dave Schildkraut on alto, Horace Silver on piano, Percy Heath on bass and Kenny Clarke on drums. SIDE A: SOLAR; YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT LOVE IS. SIDE B: I’LL REMEMBER APRIL. There is an “Ear” stamped on the blank vinyl of both sides of the record. There is no “RVG” or “VAN GELDER” stamped on it, but if it was recorded in Hackensack, NJ, it was recorded in Van Gelder’s mother’s home. The edge of the vinyl record is flat. The address is “446 W. 50th ST, N.Y.C.” on the label. This is a First Pressing and a MONO recording.
I’ve graded the vinyl as EX, as there is one slight mark on SIDE A, but it doesn’t interfere with play. Otherwise, the vinyl is clean. It retains its original shine on both sides. The spindle hole appears to be clean with no sign of wear. The record jacket was graded EX as it appears to be near perfect, with no taped seams. There is some slight damage on the lower left corner of the cover, possibly due to the removal of a sticker. The liner notes show no sign of wear. You’ll be able to see it in the photos below. If you have any questions, please email me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks.
PAYMENT & SHIPPING
Satisfaction guaranteed on item. I regret that the USPS has raised their prices. The LP will be well packed. Fully packed in a crush proof box, it weighs 1.10 pounds. Due to increased cost, I have to charge an additional $1.00 for packing in the crush proof box. Believe me, it’s worth it! The method of payment is PayPal. The LP will be shipped either by Media Rate @ $3.17 or by Priority Mail @ $7.25 and up depending where you reside. Overseas bidders should consider First Class Package International. The cost to Europe and Asia begins at $22.75 in the crush proof box. It’s worth it! USPS has continued to hammer overseas shipping!
