Description
For auction is MILES DAVIS' "Miles Ahead," on Columbia Six-Eye CL 1041, MONO, DG, 1957, White-label Promo Edition.
SOUND: VG+/NM
It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. Great playback overall with minor, faint surface noise here or there, hardly noticeable. A great listen.
VINYL: VG+/NM
The vinyl is in beautiful condition. Under bright light there are a few faint sleeve-scuffs, entirely superficial. The record is on deep-grooved white/red "six-eye" promo labels. Side b has two pen-marks underlining cuts, and some peeling paper around the spindle-hole. Side A has a little wear in the grooved area. Still, overall very nice condition.
JACKET: VG+/NM
The jacket is terrific. The only flaw is a little bit of writing on the back cover. Otherwise, the spine, edges, and corners are very solid, great condition. The front cover is in beautiful condition. The back is clean with very minor, routine aging, as well as the few pen marks I mentioned.

A very desirable record in excellent condition, plays great. No reserve, bidding starts at $18.
Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction.
