Description

For auction is MILES DAVIS' "Someday My Prince Will Come" on Columbia CL 1656, MONO, 1961 "Red Six-Eye." With John Coltrane, Hank Mobley, Wynton Kelly, Paul Chambers and Jimmy Cobb.

SOUND: VG+/NM

It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. Overall, brilliant sound! The only reason it's not solid NM is the slightest bit of surface noise, only in a couple brief instances. You will not be disappointed with this playback.

VINYL: VG+/NM

There is one faint hairline mark, looking completely superficial. Otherwise, there are a few routine, light sleeve scuffs. Overall the vinyl is in outstanding condition. The red "six-eye" labels have a few spindle marks, a little wear around the hole side a, and a "promo" sticker on side B.

JACKET: VG+

The edges and spine are solid, in good condition. Corners have some minor, routine wear. The front has a catalogue sticker and a "promo" sticker, otherwise clean and nice condition. The  back is clean and unmarked, excellent shape.

The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics.

A beautiful copy that plays brilliantly. No reserve, bid of $30.

Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.

Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.

If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction. I'm not a collector, nor an audiophile, but I think they are desirable if you're into this kind of material.  Click "see other items" and thanks for looking!
