Description
Rare. Classic Records' MONO deep groove vinyl Lp, still in shrink wrap plastic. Exact reissue, this was Classic's first pressing. It was also Miles Davis'first Blue Note record!
Check out Classic Records for details on their all-tube mastering process. This issue was mastered by Bernie Grundman from the original analog source tapes and pressed with all-tube mono cutting system on thick virgin vinyl. Grundman's initials, "BG," are etched into the dead wax on both sides. The mint vinyl is MINT, as new. I opened to shrink wrap plastic only to verify contents. Listened once each to each side on Linn LP12/Ittok/Dynavector Karat D17. Sounds superb! Best I've ever heard of these recordings!
The ten-inch (10") record features the square edge and deep groove. Classic's high-quality cover art utilizes thick cardboard sleeve and glued-on rear cover is exact duplicate of the original Blue Note issue. Don't wait. This 10" record has been out-of-print for some time. I haven't seen one in years, much less new.
