Description

Artist:  MILES DAVIS QUINTET

                                     

Title:   “Kind Of Blue”

 

Label:   COLUMBIA.  Stereo pressing on medium thick vinyl.  Label is red/black with black text, has “six-eye” logo with deep groove.  Catalog number is CS 8163. 

 

Year:   1959

 

Personnel: 

 

Miles Davis – trumpet

Cannonball Adderley – alto sax 

John Coltrane - tenor sax

Bill Evans – piano

Paul Chambers – bass 

James Cobb - drums.

 

Condition: 

 

DISC:  Vinyl retains 100% of original gloss, has been played a small number of times and handled with care.  Grades nice VG++ with several light hairline scuffs on each side that do not affect the listening experience other than to produce a few isolated soft tics.  No serious marks or problems.  Fidelity is superb.  Labels are clean.  A very fine playing copy.            

 

JACKET:   Jacket is nice VG+ with minor signs of wear and handling, but still quite nice.   There is light surface wear and a few light scratches on front panel.  Reverse is clean and bright, except for a few traces of ring wear.  Also, wear along seams and spine, but no writing, splits, stickers, or cutout indications.
