Description
Here is an original copy of the mega rare psych vinyl LP album “MILLARD and DYCE” on the KAYMAR label out of Baltimore, Maryland, from 1973.
Features MILLARD ARBUTINA on vocals, guitar, slide guitar; EARL FRENCH on vocals, guitar; GARY URIE – vocals, lead guitar; and MICHAEL PEIRCE – bass guitar.
Nice blend of folk, blues, and psychedelia. This is the first time I have seen this LP. Recorded at Flight III Studios, Baltimore.
Jacket: EX+, still in original factory shrink wrap which is clean and nice. Top right corner has a minor bend, otherwise flawless.
Vinyl: Vinyl has nearly full gloss, but appears to have been handled with less than optimum care. There are a few hairlines and scuffs, and while the fidelity is excellent, there are occasional tics, some of which are distracting. Several tracks play fine, but several also are plagued by the tics which I found irritating in a couple places. Because of this, I would grade the vinyl VG to VG+ at best, and recommend this album perhaps as a filler copy.
The material is outstanding if you are a fan of soft psych. I have included a sound clip with a segment from one track “Sadie” which gives you an idea of the material and the sound quality.
