Description
Charles Mingus "The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady"
Impulse A-35, Mono Vinyl
White Label Promo - Obviously an original pressing.
Condition:
Vinyl - Side 1 VG+ / Side 2 EX
The record plays really well.
Side 1 carries some light marks – some occasional background noises, never overpowering the music, which is usually pretty loud anyway in this composition. Nothing bad.
Side 2 is very clean. It's hard to detect any marks on it, really. Maybe a faint scuff or two. Again, very clean.
Sleeve - Nice VG+
As usual with these glossy Impulse laminated sleeves, there's the usual rub wear dulling/ "checking" in the glossy where it's dulled a bit. Overall very clean though. Some mild corner wear. Some light spotting in the inner gatefold (not bad at all, see pic). A small abrasion on the edge of the spine. It's a very nice vintage cover example.
The record will include, as you see in the pics, a MOFI archival sleeve and the cover will come in a super high quality 5mil (thick!) outer poly sleeve.
I pack records with stiffeners to ensure they arrive in good shape. I suggest shipping with Priority Mail because I don't trust media mail. It's worth the extra couple bucks.
