Description

CHARLES MINGUS LP, MINGUS DYNASTY - This is a US MONO pressing from 1960.  It's on the COLUMBIA 6 EYE LABEL.  When I hear the talk of flamboyant artists, the talk usually turns to Hendrix, Prince or Little Richard.  But one look at Mingus on this cover puts him in the conversation in 1960.
COVER is  VG+.  It's a beautiful cover with great colors on the front.  The back is great, but maybe shows that it's 60 years old without really having any faults.. There is a pencil "398" top right.  The bottom seam has moderate shelf wear.  The top seam has a few hits, and 3 frays that are 1/4" or less.  The cool yellow spine is in great shape, but again, shows age with no real flaws.  3 of the corners are slightly soft, but no big deal. 
VINYL is also VG+.  Visually there's the kind of groove haze that's seen on many LPs of the era.  It's more visual than audible.  The LP plays great, with very low and minimal surface sounds.  A great playing LP.
