Description

Up for auction is a super clean copy of the rare debut, self-titled Minor Threat album, released on Dischord Records (No. 12) in 1984.  No UPC/Bar Code.  Correct first pressing printed $4.00 price on back cover, upper left.  Correct Bleecher Street address on back cover.  UK pressing: "Dischord 12 A-1 UK" etched in dead wax.  Cover printed in France.  Side A dead wax reads "Down and Out, Up and Over," and Side B dead wax reads, "Over and Over, Over and Out."  Includes original insert with lyric sheet in pristine condition.  The first pressing matte red cover is in great condition.  These non-laminated covers were very prone to wear and tear, but this one has been incredibly well preserved.  Front cover graphics are bright and clean with only a very small hint of ring wear at the top middle (see photo).  Corners are sharp, not bumped.  Seams are strong, intact, not cracked, no splits.  Back cover is equally clean, also with only a small hint of ring wear at the top middle.  I'd grade the cover Near Mint Minus (NM-). Vinyl is in equally great shape.  Very few signs of previous handling or play.  Faces retain their original high luster shine.  No obvious scratches, scuffs, or marks on the vinyl.  Labels are bright and clean, no marks around spindle holes, indicating very little, if any, previous play.  Some very superficial, faint signs of having been taken in and out of paper inner sleeve a few times, but hard to see.  Does not affect playback whatsoever.  Great sounding pressing.  I'd grade this vinyl Near Mint (NM).  Not likely you'll find a cleaner, nicer copy of this essential hardcore classic any time soon.  Most of them out there have taken a beating.   100% satisfaction guaranteed, no risk buying.  Money back, no questions asked.  My 100% positive feedback on record sales speaks for itself.
