BRITAIN deadwax matrix stamped A) 613009 A//1 420 113 B)613009 420 113 C) 613009B 2 420 111d) 613009 B//2 420 111. The inner sleeves are poly bag cutouts MADE IN ENGLAND British Patent No.800513 973939. The LAMINATED cover reads: Manufacured by Polydor Records Ltd. Printed and made by Ernest J. Day & Co. Ltd. London W11.
At the bottom of the inside gatefold the number 2657 001 is printed.
This album was given directly to my wife by Kit Lambert, the President of Track Record, so there is no reason why this couldn't actually be the number 001 album of the entire run -- but since I've never won the lottery and can't find definite info on this number's sequential order -- I'm holding off any grand pronouncements -- but I imagine true Hendrix freaks will know for sure...
In any event, this Album has been lovingly stored for thirty-five years, triple wrapped, no light, controlled air -- so this is why the LADY is so, so, so close to mint.
I mean this LADYLAND positively glows --the full bleed laminate photos of luscious babes and psychedelic God Hendrix -- JUMP RIGHT OFF THE PAGE WITH THEIR CRISP, BRIGHT, UNMARKED CLARITY!!! THE VINYL IS GLOSSY. MINT. The edges and corners are crisp, only slight blemishes and a hint of ringwear and laminate imperfections.
BRILLIANT. KISS THE SKY BEAUTIFUL.
