VINTAGE CHRISTMAS MUSIC ON VINYL LP
Proving that he was not simply one of the great film music composers but also a fine conductor, John Williams leads the Boston Pops in a stirring holiday collection, appropriately called WE WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS. This captivating album, originally released in 1981, offers a breathtaking musical journey that will make you fall in love with Christmas all over again. The album opens with a heartwarming rendition of "We Wish You A Merry Christmas," setting the tone for the festive adventure that follows. John Williams and the Boston Pops then take you on a musical rollercoaster, from the grand and jubilant "Christmas Festival" of Leroy Anderson (you can hear the organ pedal on the final chord) to the touching "A Christmas Greeting: The Carols of Alfred Burt." With each track, you'll feel the joy, warmth, and spirit of the season. The medley "Holiday Cheer" by Billy May infuses a lively and playful energy into the mix, featuring classics like "Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!" and "Jingle Bell Rock." Finally, the album closes with timeless favorites like "Carol of the Drum" and "The Twelve Days of Christmas", which becomes an orchestral tour-de-force. The digital audio recording is wonderfully spectacular - every note, every instrument, and every nuance come to life in vivid detail. WE WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS is the perfect addition to your holiday music collection, offering a beautifully orchestrated and brilliantly performed album for your festive celebrations. Let John Williams and the Boston Pops Orchestra make your Christmas magical with this timeless DIGITAL recording.
