Description
PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. Because of that dedication, there should be no need to open a resolution dispute before working with us. Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SHIPPING: USA ~ 1 LP = $4.00 Media Priority rates vary by area; please inquire. FINAL COLLECTION COPY
BEAUTIFUL TOP COPY from OVER 48 years ago - you just don't see this copy SO clean...the dark cover is nearly always worn-out ... here a TOP COPY with minty clean vinyl audio playback....
Original 1970 first pressing ... of "END OF THE GAME" by Peter Green, the highly praised hard & heavy guitarist who led the early incarnation of Fleetwood Mac
"End Of The Game" is much heavier than any of Green's work with Mayall's Bluesbreakers OR Fleetwood Mac ... the long driving jams are filled with tight pumping rhythms playing off a wall of wah-wah guitar onslaught ...similar to the heaviness of Chicken Shack's "Imagination Lady" Lp....and overall delivers a knock-out punch right from the very first track, with the powerful, "Bottoms Up," a freeform jam worthy of its placement right at the top of the album's playlist. As the rhythm section steamrolls, Green's Les Paul leads the group into the Stratocastersphere with a powerful attack. Ironically, the music sounds focused, as persistent rumors from around this time chronicling Green's mental instability seem unfounded given the quality of the music. The album, though, does follow in the footsteps of the brief instrumental excursions pioneered by Green on the seminal Fleetwood Mac album Then Play On, which had been cut earlier in the year.
Hendrix-ian in his approach, yet very original, Green's performance on "End Of The Game" is the real reason that he is remembered at all, because, without this document (and since most of his recordings with Fleetwood Mac were steeped heavily in straight-ahead, twelve-bar blues), it would be tough to place him near the Beck/Clapton/Page pantheon of rock guitarists based on previous recordings alone. "End Of The Game", though, shows that Green's guitar power approach, when unleashed, was as "out there" and holds it's own against any wah-wah laden heavy progressive rockers pf the era.
