RARE...CLEAN ORIGINAL 1971 first pressing ... one of the *best* we ever had....
Hardest to find and the last of the original BLUE CHEER albums... Of the clutch of albums the Cheer recorded as they were evolving beyond their original acid metal style, this one probably holds up the best. 'I'm The Light' is especially terrific, one of the last truly psychedelic pieces of the era, and is breathtaking . "OH! Pleasant Hope" is very well put together and memorable. After the late '60s bombast by Blue Cheer, this jewel of an album reflects the ability of musicians far more in command and sure of themself - and willing to experiment and relax a little. Overall this is a wonderful album and the sound is not only great but cheerful. All in all, while far from representative of Blue Cheer's heavyrock essence of '68, "Oh! Pleasant Hope" is a great effort very worthy of seeking out by fans.

CONDITION: The Cover: is TOP level, M- solid everywhere = really hard to find like this...has NO delete marks from 43 years ago...no bends, no writing, no split seams...has a very small circle delete at top right that is not easily noticed in the "Philips logo" (see photo) ... overall nice final collection copy
The Vinyl: is all shiny "M-" glossy over both sides, and plays completely clean ... and the labels are clean
