Description
Mirthrandir - For You the Old Women LP. A much sought-after artifact among savvy prog collectors! Mirthrandir's "For You The Old Women" sits comfortably among the top ten most inventive and omni-dexterous US prog releases, alongside albums from Cathedral, Yezda Urfa, and Happy the Man, to name a few. Moreover, "For You The Old Women" sounds as fresh and captivating today as when it was released in 1976 — not only to generations of prog ears, but also to symphonic metal aficionados. The album blends complex arrangements with idiosyncratic, unexpected twists and turns, heavy bass-driven passages, and high-pitched vocals that will send any Dream Theater fan straight to head-banging heaven. This first-ever vinyl reissue is a testament to Mirthrandir’s genius. It comes with a jam-packed bonus CD featuring a very rare and highly energetic live show performed by the band in New Jersey in 1975, as well as previously unreleased tracks from the same period as the album. This reissue comes with a 12-page booklet with extensive band member bios and rare photos. This strictly limited pressing of 500 numbered copies. This is the splatter vinyl (200x copies) version.
