Townes Van Zandt For The Sake Of The Song MISPRINT PYS-40,001 VPI Cleaned 1968


Album has been ultra-sonically cleaned, sleeved (inner/outer), and PLAY GRADED. Ships fast and correctly.

This is an original misprint pressing!!!! Both the back cover and Side 2 have mixed up both tracks 4 & 5!


When listening to the album when you get to Song 4 on Side 2 you’ll hear All Young Servants but on the cover and label it has it as Talkin’ Karate Blues.


This is a known misprint. Information was found via another website.


Vinyl: Strong VG (vinyl comes off looking very well, some faint hairlines, one small non-feeler, and some haze (“ghosting”). Little crackle on stylus drop and a moment into the song. Some very light ticks, about 2-3 places, that are nothing major. A little sub-dominate, wispy moments of light crackle. Side 1 has some interference in the dead wax. Couple of places with a very sub-dominate tick that’s constant for about 10-15 seconds. I feel this is still a great listening copy! Not flawless but not weak either.)


Cover: VG (corner wear, hole punch, faint ring wear, some run wear, small discoloration on front/bottom/left, tiny creases at spine. Still comes off looking well .)


Has an MGM company inner sleeve that’s of the time but I don’t think it’s original to the copy because there’s no hole punch.


MGM distributed these first before they went independent.
