Description
VINTAGE 1955 M.I.T. Massachusetts Institute of Technology LOGARHYTHMS Vol 2 - Vinyl LP "More Songs by the M.I.T. Logarthythms" [Logarithms]
This record album features the acappella singing group from MIT. The back cover tells the interesting history of the group — originally part of the M.I.T. Glee Club before forming their own ensemble. A great piece of collegiate music history and an excellent find for collectors of vintage university recordings or vocal group LPs
Please see all the photos as the history of this singing group from M.I.T. is told on the back cover.
It seems this group used to be part of the MIT Glee Club but then separated out.
The singers on the album are: Butch Dickerson, Paul Doering, Jon Hathawy, Mal Jones, Jack Kretzer, Bob McLaughlin, Mike Mohr, Dave Rados, Earle Ryba, & Joe Saliba - all graduates from M.I.T. in the mid- late 1950's.The Songs on the album are: Gaudeamus, George Jones, Kentucky Babe, Somebody Stole my Gal, Lazy River, Chocolate Whiskey, Winter Wonderland, Ohio, "Oh Joe!" Persian Kitten, You Made Me Love You, Sons of M.I.T.
This was part of my father's M.I.T. collection as he graduated from there back in the 50's. I have other alumni items that I am selling, as well as technical/technology, mathematical, and other mechanical engineering books for sale.
I do try to describe the item to the best of my ability so if you have any questions, please ask! Vintage items are sold “AS IS"
If you have any questions, please contact me and be sure to check out my other items for sale. Thank you.
