Recorded on December 10, 1983, at the Torwar Hall (Ice Stadium) in Warsaw, Poland.
Released on JIVE -ELECTRO Records on the November 1984

Background and Significance:
The concert was a unique and legendary event given the political situation in Poland at the time of the fall of severe oppression by Russia and the rise of SOLIDARITY. The concert was performed during one of the coldest winters on record (ha ha ha). Tangerine Dream was one of the first Western bands to play in Eastern Europe during the Cold War, partly because their instrumental music contained no lyrics.
The album is considered by many fans to be the final great recording of the band's "Virgin Era" style, serving as a capstone before their sound evolved. It features four long, continuously-seguing compositions: "Poland", "Tangent", "Barbakane", and "Horizon". The track "Rare Bird" served as an encore.
