My eBay name is 'punky_music' and I'm a full-time record dealer since nearly 30 years
In near mint condition. Old eBay prices: £50 + £50 + £40 + £40 + £40 again. This legendary Mod Revival sampler from England goes by the title MODS MAYDAY '79. You are bidding on the original first pressing, released on private mini label ‘Bridge House’ records in 1979 (catalogue number BHLP 003). First pressing means that the label etiquettes show the label name BRIDGE HOUSE RECORDS in red ink. As you know, later pressings show the label name with black ink. Also included, in this auction, is an original press advert. This old cutting is in MINT condition (no folds, splits, dirt, marks, writing or tears) and is taken from an old NME magazine from the same year (1979). The longplayer features real Mod footstompers like ‘End Of The Night’ / ‘Midnight To Six’ and the non-7“ track ‘Hanging In The Balance’ by SMALL HOURS. Also the MODS appear with ‘Love Only Me’ / ‘Let Me Be The One’ plus the super-cracker ‘Tonight’s The Night’ on this classic sampler album. The SQUIRE tracks named ‘Walking Down The King’s Road’ / ‘Live Without Her Love’ and ‘Baby Baby Love’. The smashers ‘Broadway Show’ and ‘Don’t Throw Your Life Away’ were done by infamous BEGGAR. And the SECRET AFFAIR songs named ‘Time For Action’ and ‘I’m Not Free But I’m Cheap’.

Ebenso werden alle Platten entsprechend stabil in speziellen Schallplatten-Versandkartons mit zwei dicken Pappkartons verpackt (all records will be shipped in special LP record mailers, two cardboard paddings (the best) will be used to avoid bending).
