Description

Momenti di Jazz al Capolinea

Italian pressing, Jii 3 (1975)

Very rare Lp documenting the 1975 second jazz meeting at the Capolinea club in Milan. Great quality live recording, plus groovy spoken words introducing groups and players.

Cream of the mid 70's Italian jazz also feauring the Claudio Lo Cascio group, with its monster ethnic modal jazz track "Cifte telli". Absolutely killer fender rhodes funky jazz by the Sante Palumbo and the Giorgio Azzolini groups (with Sergio Fanni, Stefano Cerri, Franco D'andrea, Giancarlo Barigozzi, Tullio De Piscopo etc...). Mad modal jazz trio by Guido Mazzon on his "C'era una volta un re".

Nice recording by the Eraldo Volontè quartet, Gianni Basso quartet, Mario Rusca trio and so on.

Signed on back by tenor sax player Larry Nocella and drummer Giancarlo Pillot.
