Here is a superb near mint 1968 UK first stereo pressing of the brilliant cult soundtrack to the Monkees excellent bizarre psych feature film 'HEAD'. In my opinion this is probably one of the best psych film soundtracks ever, it's certainly the best Monkees album ever released. With this listing i have provided a few complete MP3s from the album, these were taken directly from my CD version of 'Head' but the vinyl album plays perfect from start to finish and so will sound the same are the MP3s. CONDITION = NM
This Monkees album was professionally pro vacuum cleaned in 2007. The vinyl looks amazingly clean and glossy and visually grades NEAR MINT. Both sides still have their full sheen, there are no surface marks, scuffs or scratches at all, all tracks play an amazing MINT as new throughout with no clicks or pops or background crackle, the sound quality is brilliantly clean and crisp with no lessoning in the audio at all. There are no surface marks and both sides play and sound perfect but side one has a extremely minor pressing flaw where a few of the grooves look slightly lighter than others, this is definitely not groove-wear, it's more likely to do with the original vinyl mixture when pressed, whatever it is is hard to spot and so does not look unsightly and has no affect on play at all. Both labels are in faultless clean and bright wear free condition and look as good as new. The front laminated single sleeve was printed in the UK by Robert Stace. The front lamination looks amazingly fresh and clean and gleams as new. The black matt back cover is also in brilliant condition with barely even a trace of wear. All edges and top/bottom pinched spine are free of wear and all text along the spine is bold and clear and very easy to read. The white poly-lined inner sleeve is mint, there is a sticker attached to one side with vinyl cleaning details printed. This cover and vinyl really are in brilliant condition and will definitely not disappoint in any way, guaranteed money back if unhappy with this superb stereo copy of this cult psych soundtrack.
