Original 1967 first pressing in thick gatefold with multi-color pages inset between the gatefold cover...all in glorious MONO ...the (rare/sought) monaural release contains different song mixes from the stereo issue and ALSO features the big beat BOLD punch in the (mono) sound production.
This LP is a definite peak of the Fab Four's psychedelic experimental phase. The title track, "I Am the Walrus", "Strawberry Fields Forever", "Blue Jay Way" are all masterpieces of British psychedelia containing all kinds of studio experiments, sitars, effects, and strings arrangements and samplings that were one of a kind and extremely innovative in 1967. Additionally, "Fool On The Hill" and "Penny Lane" are amongst the most beautiful melodic ballads penned by McCartney. "Hello Goodbye" is a classic, and even the hippie mantra "All You Need Is Love" has a 'groove-in' feel. Otherwise, this album is excellent and was not originally released as LP album in England.

CONDITION: The cover is solid (no bends, no splits, no writing) having ONLY a little light wear started mainly on back, front is clean VG++
The vinyl is still with gloss. While the surface is still shiny, it does contain little top surface scuffings & marks, but, nothing deep, so VG+(+) playing exceptionally well, enjoyable, all.
Very rare 1967 MONO first pressing ...MONO releases were being phased out by the time THIS release went into production. It is the last Beatles Lp in mono and was limited (in mono) at that! Much harder to find in mono than Sgt Peppers...
