Description
This is an original American Capital rainbow label from 1967. 1st heavy vinyl pressing. Gatefold design with all inner pages, some have broken away from the staples, but are excellent condition. Vinyl is VG to VG+ and Jacket is VG+. There is a very very light name noticeable on the front of the jacket, ( the only writing on the entire cover ). Slight seam split near the edge on the top of jacket see image. But basically this MONO plays excellent and with very little grove wear. Though hardly noticeable again, I find that the sound quality is superb, even with a bit of crackle ( minor issue ) no skipping or major pops and a just a bit of vinyl grove wear sound is barely affected. The MONO in this LP is sought after and highly collectible PLUS AS A BONUS I FOUND THAT ... the writing below the Walrus song is ' hand written ' style even rarer with this minor detail, is the MONO (most contain typical font styles, it is said this had a subliminal issue with McCartney having "supposedly died in a car crash." This hand written message had that '60's psychedelic meaning I suppose :-) So Condition of inner jacket gatefold is excellent. Punch hole see images. Circa 1967 MONO MAL-2835; Capital no subsidiary on the label MFD by only. Very heavy vinyl ; not flimsy later sixies vinyl feel... Just pure fun for any beatles fan... This is a fantastic addition to your library, of collectibles. Will not disappoint. Please ask any questions you may have, matrix numbers end in G and F (followed by a number for each.)
