Description
D. R. Hooker’s The Truth is one of the most sought-after American psychedelic private pressings, routinely showing up on many collectors’ all-time favorites lists. Features the great lead guitar (attention, fuzz fans) and voice of D.R. Hooker, backed up by his ace band. The songwriting is also particularly noteworthy. Released on the On Records label in 1972, this includes the fold-out lyric sheet. Best of all, this copy is in really nice shape: the back cover has a promo stamp that doesn’t affect any artwork (interesting that they actually made some of these promo copies!), and the cover has some slight ring wear. The cover is VG+ and the vinyl itself is VG+++. This means that both are in VERY GOOD condition (really)! You just don’t see this one being offered, so jump on it if you want it! Given the fact that this is an ultra rare and sought-after record, it will take a serious bid, as they like to say, to become the proud owner of this one. And if you’re interested in D. R.
