MONUMENT 'The First Monument' LP (Spain, Guerssen, Catalogue #GUESS081) Brand new/unplayed copy of superb and limited (edition of 500 copies only) Guerssen label LP edition of sole rare LP from 1971  of doomy occult-laden hard rock as recorded by the members of Zior under the pseudonym Monument.

(NOTE: LIMITED EDITION OF 500 COPIES ONLY!)

'Heavy organ and guitar doom rock recorded in London in 1971 by the members of cult hard-rockers Zior. A must for fans of early Black Sabbath and Leafhound. High quality carton cover, pressed on 180 gram vinyl. Mastertape sound quality. Includes an insert with extensive liner notes by Andy Morten.'

'This was a rather mystical progressive album, which is now rare and sought-after by collectors. All four of those listed above were members of Zior and the album was the result of a drunken all-night jam session, which is probably why it's such a mish-mash of tempo changes and different styles. The early seventies saw a rising interest in black magic in rock and this band was actually fronted by a coven member. So there are song titles like Boneyard Bumne and Stale Flesh on an album that is mostly keyboard-driven with operatic vocals.' - Vernon Joynson/The Tapestry Of Delights
