On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by The Moody Blues called 'Caught Live + 5' and is an ORIGINAL 1977 UK Threshold (Decca) 'Factory Sample' Demo 1st Pressing on the 1st Press 'Factory Sample' Threshold/Decca DEMO label!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  THIS IS ONE OF THE MOODY BLUES RAREST & MOST SOUGHT AFTER LPs EVER - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!!  BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL - IS THAT IT IS AN ULTRA RARE 'FACTORY SAMPLE' DEMO RECORD!!!!  AND THIS IS SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ON THIS LP!!!!  THIS LP IS JUST PART OF AN EX-REP'S COLLECTION I RECENT ACCQUIRED!!!!  HE WORKED FOR VARIOUS DIFFERENT FACTORYS/LABELS THROUGHOUT HIS CAREER (FROM THE LATE 1960s UNTIL THE LATE 1970s) AS A VERY SUCCESSFUL SALES REP, AND WAS OFTEN ALLOWED TO KEEP VARIOUS LPs THAT WERE 'SPARE'.  THESE 'SPARE' RECORDS WERE USUALLY (ACCORDING TO HIM) DUE TO 'OVER PRODUCTION'.  FOR EXAMPLE - IF THERE WERE 96 RADIO STATIONS REQUIRING A 'PROMOTIONAL COPY' - THEN THERE THERE WAS VIRTUALLY ALWAYS AN 'EXCESS' AS THE PRESSINGS WERE SET TO RUN OF IN BATCHES OF 50.  SO IF 96 COPIES WERE REQUIRED - 100 COPIES WERE USUALLY PRESSED, AND ANY EXCESS WAS DESTROYED, OR IN SOME CASES 'RECYCLED'(!).  IN THIS CASE THIS RECORD WAS SAVED FROM BEING DESTROYED, AND HE ACCQUIRED THIS RECORD DIRECT FROM THE FACTORY!!!!  ONLY A TINY HANDFUL WERE EVER PRESSED (IN THIS CASE NO MORE THAN 100 COPIES!) AND THIS LP REMAINED IN HIS COLLECTION EVER SINCE!!!!  SO THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT AT ALL - THAT THIS IS THE RAREST & 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING OF THIS LP EVER MADE!!!!  AND ALTHOUGH THIS LP WAS INTENDED AS A '2-LP' SET, THIS RECORD IS THE MOST INTERESTING DEMO OF ALL - AS IT IS THE RECORD THAT FEATURES THE 5 PREVIOUS UNRELEASED 'STUDIO RECORDINGS' AND NOT THE PURELY LIVE LP!!!!  NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN SUPERB CONDITION AND HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!!  JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!!  THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1977 UK THRESHOLD/DECCA 'FACTORY SAMPLE' DEMO 1ST PRESSING ON THE ORIGINAL 'DEMO ONLY' PINK 'FACTORY SAMPLE LABEL, 1ST PRESS PLAIN INNER SLEEVE, AND PLAIN 'DIE-CUT' CARD COVER (THIS DEMO WAS SUPPLIED LIKE THIS BACK IN 1977 AND NEVER HAD A COVER!)!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is the ORIGINAL Threshold / Decca DEMO UK 1st Pressing from 1977 and is in SUPERB condition!!!!  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl!!!!  The Cat. No is MB 4 (and the matrixes are also on the label - see pictures) on the ULTRA RARE 'Demo Only' Pink 'Factory Sample' Label (see picture) and is a UK Stereo 1st Pressing (there were NO Monos)!!!!

The record labels are in AWESOME condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!!!!  IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HASNT BEEN PLAYED MUCH AT ALL!!!!  The vinyl is in absolutely AWESOME condition!!!!  Most of these 60s/70s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable.  This one is NOT and has NO scratches, NO hairlines, NO scufflines, and only a VERY few of the VERY lightest paper scuffs only visible under EXTREME light!!!!  ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!!  THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND LOOKS SUPERB!!!!  It is also great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!!!!  The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!!  The record must grade Excellent++++ if not better!!!  AWESOME RECORD!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!!  I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!!  Brillant!!!!  The record comes in its ORIGINAL plain inner sleeve which is in SUPERB condition!!!!  The 1st Press Plain 'Die-Cut' Demo Cover is also in BRILLIANT condition (see pictures) with NO edge splits!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS ULTRA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
