You are bidding on a 1st UK pressing of “BONA DRAG” a compilation album by MORRISSEY which was released in 1990 on His Masters Voice (HMV Cat No CLP 3788). As Morrissey was working in the studio on his second solo album “Kill Uncle” he decided to released Bona Drag, a compilation of singles and B-sides, including "Everyday Is Like Sunday" and "Suedehead" from Viva Hate. The album thus features an array of Morrissey's most popular songs from his early solo career, most of which had not been released on any previous album. While the record conveniently overlooks some rarities, the selections on Bona Drag are uniformly first-rate and many of the songs -- "Picadilly Palare," "Interesting Drug," "November Spawned a Monster," "The Last of the Famous International Playboys," "Lucky Lisp," "Disappointed," "He Knows I'd Love to See Him," and "Ouija Board, Ouija Board" -- are Morrissey classics, arguably making Bona Drag a more consistent and entertaining record than Viva Hate. CONDITION: Sleeve: Single Sleeve (Gloss) In very good condition throughout with both panels clear and clean and almost no edge wear. No Hype sticker on front panel, but slight traces of sticker removal top left (hardly noticeable). The spine is not flattened or significantly faded and all text is present and clearly legible (see photos 1 and 2). The inner is a top opening card sleeve with a small die-cut thumb section and is illustrated on both sides with over printed lyrics and credits (see photos 3 and 4). After ultrasonic cleaning, I have placed the vinyl in a new anti-static Nagoaka poly inner. Conservatively graded as VG+ for both sleeve and inner. Record: Before play-grading the LP was cleaned on a state of the art Ultrasonic Record Cleaner (Degritter Mark 2). I have then listened to it in its entirety and not just sampled a track or two. Some background noise on run-in and inter-track intervals which do not impinge on the music significantly Track 1. No significant defects were noted. Track 2. No significant defects were noted. There is a mark which sounds faintly 4-5 times in the very last part of the fadeout to this track. Side 2. Plays through with no skips or jumps.
