British four-piece Mother Earth were hugely active during the heyday of the acid jazz and Brit funk scene of the 90s. They might not be as well known as peers like Incognito but that will always do them a disservice as they penned plenty of great tunes. You Have Been Watching is one of them, and Stoned Woman, reissued here, is another. It was recorded in a studio in a Tottenham industrial estate studio and brings all new colour and character to the tried and tested formula of the time - rock licks and funky drums sit next to a proud reference to Blaxploitation soundtracks from the 70s.
