This week, I’m parting with some great albums from my collection that just don’t fit my focus any longer. Bid with confidence, I am a record collector as well as a comic book collector - I take pride in accurate grading and caring for my items, and you can rest assured they will be packed for safe transit (that includes removing the record from its sleeve). Please have a look at all the items I have up, and I hope you enjoy them as much as I have over the years.
The Mothers of Invention 'Freak Out!' 2LP Verve Records V6-5005-2 with hype sticker, map and original inners PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION BELOW this release has a variety of important details to note, I will itemize below:
First press with 'Hot Spot' ad printed on inside gatefold (see photo).
Matrix information (Side 1): SIDE 1 MGS-296 V-6-5005-2 and then 3 sets of numbers crossed out (this correlates with first pressing information obtained from Discogs).
Map: GD+ To be clear: I am totally unsure of the authenticity of this map. It has water damage and a tape repair (was torn from top to bottom). It looks as if had been trimmed on the side, as the text appears cut off. I would suggest bidders assume this is a reproduction - please bid accordingly.
Sleeve: GD+ Water damage on bottom with cello tape repair along bottom edge of both sides. Ringwear on both sides. Hype sticker fully intact on front cover.
Records: Side 4: VG+ Side 3: VG+ Side 2: VG+ A few surface marks. Side 1: FR significant scratching on final three tracks that cause popping, and the final track skips and gets stuck. Major bummer considering the rest of the records are quite nice.
Labels: VG+ Vibrant blue Verve labels, with only the small spindle stresses and marks on the label.
Original Verve inners with cello tape repairs.
