A RARE FIND CAN BE YOUR TREASURE.  UP FOR BIDDING IS A MOTLEY CRUE ALBUM AND 45 FROM LEATHUR RECORDS.  BOTH VINYLS HAVE THE "LEATHUR RECORDS" LABEL ON THEM.  THE ALBUM IS "TOO FAST FOR LOVE"  THE CRUE'S KILLER DEBUT ALBUM, ALSO INCLUDED IS A RARE 45 BY THE CRUE WITH THE SONGS "STICK TO YOUR GUNS" (FROM "TOO FAST FOR LOVE")  "TOAST OF THE TOWN" WAS RE-RELEASED LATER, BUT THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 45!!  I WOULD ASSUME THAT THIS WAS A PROMO COPY THAT THEY SOLD BEFORE THEIR ALBUM WAS MADE, BUT HEY, I'M NOT AN EXPERT!!   THE OUTSIDE SLEEVE DOES HAVE SOME WATER DAMAGE, WHICH IS MORE NOTICEABLE ON THE FRONT THAN BACK.  BOTH VINYLS ARE IN VERY GOOD SHAPE.

OK, all you Motley Crue fans, here's the deal.  It is obvious to me that this is highly collectible after doing some research.  From what I have read this is the first pressing of "Too Fast for Love" and there was approximately 900 copies made.  Their history is unknown, because I stumbled across these by sheer dumb luck and decided to put them up for auction.  I can say that there was other records in the lot that was offered to me that were from a radio station on the east coast and I declined because of all the DJ's writing on them.  There is no "sunglasses" on the record on or near Vince Neil that I have seen.  This album in not "MINT",  as a general observance, I would say "GOOD", but most feedbacks I have received from buyers say I am honest and items they receive are as I describe them.  I am starting to have reservations about selling, but I am a man of my word and will let this ride out.  DUE TO HIGH DEMAND FROM OTHER COUNTRIES, I WILL SHIP TO ANY COUNTRY, AS LONG AS PAYMENT IS MADE IN U.S. CURRENCY.  I WILL GIVE A QUOTE AFTER AUCTION IS ENDED IF YOU ARE OUT OF THE CONTINENTAL U.S.

The following numbers are ingraved on the vinyl.  On the LP, the numbers DK-1004-3, PRC-C-1-1 and the letters KDISC.  On the 45 the letters DHP-1 and C-20462-X

The Leathur records story goes like this...

Single - all that has been said is true. The original single was issued and available to fans at shows starting in May of 1981 (May 12th is the first flyer I have that shows it available - that was a show at the Whisky (in Hollywood). There were 1000 printed and they actually had the Leather Records label (it was changed to the Leathur version for the LP). The DHP bootlegs came out around the time the Too Fast For Love LP was re-released by Elektra (if I remember), because the single was going for around $500 then. I don't know how many bootleg copies were released (at least I never saw officially). The bootleg is recognized by the DHP lettering and the photocopied back pictures (they are not nearly as clear as the original).

LP - so far what I have read is correct.

The Leathur version was printed in three pressings. This first (and most desirable) is the one you have. It was never bootlegged, and in my years of looking at EBay, I have not seen many of these. There were 900 pressed. It was stopped right away when Vince saw his hair. They took the original photos against a white background, so you couldn't see it (all the other guys have black hair). It was subsequently airbrushed in, and it looked ridiculous, needless to say, he went nuts when he saw it, and it was touched up for the 2nd and 3rd pressings. The other main difference is the white writing on the front (it was changed to red on the 2nd and 3rd). Again, add the pictures of the back cover, a close up of Vince's hair on the back, and the insert, and people will know it's original, and why the price is going so high.

The first pressing was originally available at the Whisky for the first time on Dec 11th and 12th, 1981, and was available at the Country Club on Christmas, and at the Oxnard Auditorium on the 26th. Most of them sold during those shows (a few were left for other shows after, but not many).

That's pretty much the story. You can add the info to your auction, if you want, but I prefer you don't add me to the questions part as I don't want any emails. I am a reliable source. I was there, and I am taking the dates out of an original Coffman & Coffman Press Kit I have (which has the original flyers in it used to promote those shows).
