Info: Here is the holy grail for collectors of rare Miami, Florida punk... This is an original MOUTH OF THE RAT fanzine from 1980. Printed on news print. This is the fanzine that the South Florida punk scene of the late 70's and early 80's was centered around. Great local coverage of great bands like THE EAT, CICHLIDS, REACTIONS, CHARLEY PICKETT plus photo's of NYC kbd punk legends THE VIOLATORS (whose NY Ripper 45 is a huge ebay collectable) . Also features a pull out centerfold of JOHNNY THUNDERS. This issue is devoted to the editors trip to the NY punk scene in 1980. MOUTH OF THE RAT would later relocate to New York City and become RAT CAGE RECORDS the influential record store and later label that would go on to release BEASTIE BOYS, AGNOSTIC FRONT and more. Co writer Mir did the iconic artwork for the debut LP by the BAD BRAINS that featured the Capitol getting struck by lightning.
Condition: very good with some aging and small tears
