INTERNATIONAL BUYER PAY ACTUAL COST ( $ 14 - $ 15).Very much Psychedelia, but quite mellow with a dash of bizzare discordant melodicism thrown in for good measure. There is some interesting instrumentation on this with the orchestration. There really is not a whole lot of effects on this. Then again, who says you need effects to be weird!! In fact the only thing besides the vocals, and drums having effects enhancement, are just the plain sheer weirdness of people cut loose in the studio, only to be told that they can do what they wish!! Try that in a recording studio TODAY, and you will probably be fired!! But, then again this was the 60's. A time when people were allowed to have more free form musical freedom, and expression. Major label's took chances!!! Sometimes in that type of climate this works as an experiment. Other times it does not. Well, for once. Mr. Flood's Party ended up being a genuine free form Psychedelic Pop/Rock expression into the world of the truly bizzare. In other words this works!!Very few things sound like this record even in the heady experimental climate of the late 60's early 70's America!! A special one indeed!! Truly wholeheartedly recommended. Just do not purchase this record being deceived into thinking it is normal. Sad to say. It is not!! If you like your psychedelia soft or melodic, whilst at the same time at any given moment it sounds as if the band belongs inside the insane asylum circus, and are ready to fall off of the tracks only to come back again. This could be for you. The vocals are excellent with awesome harmonies. The music is very weird, but executed very professionally well. Wholeheartedly recommended!! An unsung classic that deserves more recognition today from listeners than it did back in 1969!! Maybe the world was not ready at that time for Mr. Flood"s Party. Maybe today in the climate of "anything goes 2000's". The world is ready now. A piece a little ahead of it's time!! This would definitely appeal ever so to the not so commercial tastes of the indie crowd NOW!! Put it on!! Listen to it!! Be mesmerized by the freak show circus inside your mind!! Is it all in your head?? No it is just Mr. Floods Party!! RECORD LOOK NEW. COVER LOOK VERY GOOD NO RIPS OR SPLIT SEAMS. SOME MINOR WEAR ON BACKAND VERY LITTLE WEAR ON FRONT.
