Transatlantic TRA 236 - 1971 - UK

Original copy of the second album by the UK folk group MR FOX, formed by Bob and Carole Pegg, released on the TRANSATLANTIC label in 1971, and among the classics on this label's catalogue.
This is one of a few albums released with a single sheet foldout cover with a PVC sleeve taped in the inside, that are very hard to find in excellent condition.

COVER - The single sheet foldout cover with PVC inner is in EX condition with only some general age wear and light ring wear on the back. The seam is solid and doesn't contain any titles printed.

INNER - PVC inner with foam on the opening side, taped to the cover, it has a 2cm split on the bottom side.

VINYL - Most copies of this record are damaged from the foam strip closing the PVC inner, but this copy was stored for most of its life with the vinyl in a separate protective bag and doesn't have the usual opaque and noisy edges (except for very small parts of the vinyl edge, not affecting the initial grooves).
Looks clean and shiny, plays with some very light noise in the quietest parts. My grading is a full VG+.
Record playgraded using a Shure V15-Type III stylus at 1.5gr.

LABELS - Original white/purple Transatlantic labels in nice condition with no tears. The label on side 1 contains two small pen writings (past owner's initials).

MATRIX NUMBERS - Machine stamped on the vinyl, TRA 236 A-2 U (side 1) and TRA 236 B-2 U (side 2).

This record is valued 100 Pounds on the current (2014) issue of the Record Collector Price Guide.

are the noisiest parts of the vinyl) and one or two others to give a good idea of the overall sound quality.

ETICHETTE - Originali Transatlantic bianco/viola, in ottime condizioni senza strappi.
