Description
Last year, in 2025, sleaze metal pioneers Mötley Crüe celebrated FORTY years since the release of their third album titled 'Theatre Of Pain'. Since it was the mid 80s, glam and hair metal was at its peak. Check out the outfits. Nikki was wearing polka dots, and Vince was dressed in hot pink spandex pants, lace, and a garter belt! Each band member wore tons of makeup and used gallons of hair spray. The metal scene during that era saw people like Ozzy (RIP rock and roll rebel), Dokken, and Queensryche adapt the glam and big hair look. Though nearly everyone moved on and went with completely different styles, this was a time when they were glammed out!
Earlier this year, Mötley released a box set of their first five albums called 'Crücial Crüe'. It packages all five of their 80s releases, from '81 to '89. Hard to believe the Crüe has been making music for almost a half a CENTURY, but they have! In fact, the guys went on tour this summer to mark the 45th anniversary of the debut album's release, plus the 20th anniversary of the 'Carnival of Sins' live album's release. Yes, they attempted to retire a couple of times, but that never happened, and they are still touring, still making new music, and still relevant!
