Records are visually graded, but I do listen to intros for crackle and clarity, and play through any marks. Please read the entire listing to avoid any misunderstanding.

MUDDY WATERS – FOLK SINGER – RARE US IMPORT – 1977 REPRESS – EX

American export repress of the 1964 original. Heavy weight card sleeve, still in shrink wrap with just the open edges split to access the record. Still retains UK import sticker on outside of shrink wrap. Orange and blue chess label. Matrices are not easy to read, but I think this is right:
Side one: B 1 (Union Jack) CH1483 A 1
Side two: 1 A (Union Jack) CH1483 B
In both cases there are more etched letters and numbers after the above, but I can’t read them with any certainty.

Looks great, super glossy and pretty much spotless.
Both sides start with a very light crackle during the run-ins, and on side one, continuing into the music for a few seconds. I’ve listened to parts of it and it plays well with a beautiful clear sound. I did hear the occasional light crackle, but very much background and for me, didn’t interfere with the music.

Sleeve still shrink wrapped as mentioned above, so very clean. There is a small nick in the bottom edge (see photo).
