Description

Check out my other first-edition Chess Vintage Series vinyl on eBay right now!

ORIGINAL REPLY CARD (Photos 4, 5):  I bought the album new in the late 60s - early 70s.  Inside the sleeve was this reply card (postcard) for Cadet Records.  I have no idea why they chose the Cadet label (rather than Chess or Checker), but here it is.  5.5" x 3.125".   Slightly yellowed.

CONDITION

VINYL (AUDIBLE)

The oldest tracks (particularly A3, B1) have original hiss.

Side 1:  VG.  Steady, faint fuzz/rustle noticeable mainly between tracks and in soft passages -- probably original to the pressing.  Muted noise from pressing defects (bubbles in vinyl), Tracks 2 and 4, a second or two in each case.

Side 2:  VG.  Overall sn about like Side 1, probably a bit better (less sn).  Bubble noise (as on Side 1), Tracks 3, 6 -- again a second or two each.  (I don't hear anything for the other bubbles visible on this side.)

VINYL & LABEL (VISUAL)

Side 1:  VG+.  Bubbles in vinyl (pressing defects), Tracks 2, 4 (1 per track).

Side 2:  VG+.  Bubbles, Tracks 1, 3, 5, 6 (1 per).

COVER

Corner and seam wear -- very light, bottom only.  No splits.

Front:  VG+.  Slight ring wear, rub wear.

Back:  NM.

My grading follows the Goldmine® Grading Guide (http://www.goldminemag.com/collector-resources/record-grading-101), using only the 8 basic grades (M, NM, VG+, VG, G+, G, F, P) described there.  I do not use the alternate symbols M-, E, or VG- (I use NM, VG+, and G+), and I do not create additional, intermediate grades by appending plus or minus signs to the basic 8.  Past feedback says I grade conservatively...

The buyer pays USPS postage at my exact cost to cover U.S. delivery.  The additional charge for shipment to another country is set and collected by the eBay Global Shipping Program -- not me.

To protect the cover, the record will be shipped removed from the cover.

Payment must be by PayPal, with a confirmed shipping address, and within 3 days (72 hours) of the auction end.  If you cannot meet these terms, please check with me before bidding.

I consider no transaction complete until the buyer leaves feedback.  Once the buyer leaves feedback I do the same.

Thanks and good luck to all!
