While I've heard some people complain that this isn't one of Muddy Water's best, even suggesting it's a bad album, I say,  WRONG lol. This is a great album, recorded in 1968 during the heyday of psychedelia, this was recorded by Marshall Chess himself, and though it may have been suggested it was made to cater to the new rock generation, it is still powerfully full of Muddy's amazing playing, with such classics as "I Just Wanna Make Love To You", "Hoochie-Coochie Man", a cover of The Rolling Stones "Lets Spend The Night Together", and,  "I'm A Man", as well as the lesser known but no less great "She's Alright", "Herbert Harper's Free Press", "Tom Cat", and the album closer "Same Thing". So what if he was aiming to increase his fan base, he doesn't play with any less finesse. Amazing album. Period. This copy is the 1st press gatefold with incredibly cool 12x24" photo of Muddy, and NO splitting. It has surprisingly crisp corners, a very legible spine, and while the white cover has some age wear, it surrounds the words "Electric Mud" appropriately and to me adds to the look. The vinyl itself is clean and shiny, without scratches, and though it's over 50 years, it sounds great, with just a bit of background noise on occasion. This is a great copy of an overlooked classic by one of the Blues all time masters. It does NOT have the original booklet unfortunately.    We are using best healthy practices in all aspects of our store amidst all this craziness now, and we use NEW mailers, NEW inserts, New record sleeves and NEW clear plastic covers. We use official LP mailers with the record outside the cover, and in clean white sleeves separately from any photo inner sleeves. All vinyl is cleaned with an enzyme spray then finished with a SpinClean Machine. With sealed vinyl, please understand that we will only accept returns if the LP is still sealed, which is for our financial protection as well as yours.
