THE PICTURES YOU SEE ARE OF THE ACTUAL ITEM YOU ARE BIDDING ON. I NEVER USE "STOCK" PICTURES THAT HIDE BLEMISHES OR OTHER PROBLEMS.
ITEM: Very Rare, Muddy Waters - "Folk Singer", ORIGINAL 1964 PRESSING, DJ PROMO, CHESS RECORDS LABEL, CATALOG NUMBER LP 1483. Matrix stampers are: LP-1483 S-1 12836, and LP-1483 S-2 12837.
COMMENTS/CONDITION: ORIGINAL 1964 pressing: Black Label, "CHESS" across the top in gold with a four color knight chess piece in back. Chess produced the fading blue labels starting in 1965. This is NOT a cut-out - there are absolutely NO punch holes, saw cut notches, or clipped corners.
Vinyl is VG/VG+, retaining a nice shiny gloss. There are no warps, cracks, or excessive groove wear. There are a number of scuffs and tiny surface scratches present, which produce audible tics. On my system, both sides played through with no skips, groove lock, or harsh background noise. There were a few infrequent soft tics heard on side one. Tics were more noticeable and frequent on some songs on side two but did not overpower the songs.
Both labels are in excellent condition. There are no rips, tears, peeling edges, tape, or writing. Center hole is perfectly round with no spindle tracks, and shows no signs of repeated playing.
The jacket is in strong VG or better condition. Seams are solid with no splits, spine is straight and lettering is easily read with no fading or peeling. There are slight scuffs and edge wear, and the lower right front panel has minor crease marks. Front and back panels have browning and rubbing from age and handling.
