Description
Artist: GERRY MULLIGAN and JOHNNY HODGES
Title: “GERRY MULLIGAN MEETS JOHNNY HODGES”
Label: VERVE. Label is flat black with David Stone Martin “trumpet player” logo. Monaural pressing on medium thick vinyl, with deep groove. Catalog number is V-8367.
Year: 1959.
Personnel: Gerry Mulligan – baritone sax; Johnny Hodges – alto sax; Claude Williamson – piano; Buddy Clark – bass; Mel Lewis - drums.
Note: This album comes from an extremely well cared-for jazz collection where the original owner cherished his albums, played them once or twice at most, and stored them under optimal conditions. These are some excellent opportunities for the discriminating collector who insists on top condition.
Condition:
DISC: Vinyl is gorgeous NEAR MINT, has been played a very small number of times, most likely once or twice, and handled with care. Plays flawlessly with superb fidelity. Labels are clean and pristine.
JACKET: Jacket is nice VG++. Would grade NM except for scratch on front of jacket near bottom left corner, a very minor flaw that could most likely be touched up so that it would be completely unnoticeable. Corners, seams, and spine are excellent. Factory inspection stamp on reverse. Otherwise no writing, stickers, cutout indications, or other flaws. Overall a very fine jacket to accompany the beautiful disc.

Side Two:
